My dear father died of COPD and type 2 respiratory disease, also added was Osteoarthritus. My father loved anything to do with the military and was very interested in the Zulu War.
He enjoyed having a little bet on the horses and he enjoyed cooking.
This disease was very cruel the last 6 months of dad's life he was finding it harder to do the little things that we all take for granted. The arthritus made his hands very twisted and unable to hold simple things like a pen.
My Dad was very special to me. I remember him fondly from when I last saw him, he was being cheeky with the nurses and smiling at me. I would not have expected him to die so quickly.
I now have no parents as my mother died 2 years ago.
